What I think people think of writers and what it's like for us..

Sometimes I think that people think that being an author or a writer is so easy. I also think they think that it's a get rich quick scheme in some ways. Some may think it's not actual work. Hearing this can get very aggravating at times. Yes, it might be easy to write but it doesn't mean that it is for everyone. Not everyone can do it. Some like to do it and others don't like to. Guess what that goes for anything in life. Even though I like to write that doesn't mean that I always have the time. I make time for my writing even if it's just a sentence here and there. I don't take a bad review as someone saying that my writing is horrible. I take the criticism and think what can I do to make this better or more appealing. There will be some people that just like to smash others and that is there soul point but don't let them get under your skin. It takes time to reach people. You don't get rich over night. Some might publish lots of books and make money and some like me will struggle because we're not sure what resources to pull. Some people don't have money to publish so we self publish. Some of us have to do our own advertising so we use things like Facebook,Twitter, Pinterest, Goodreads, Linkedin, websites, blogs, and many other social media to reach the masses. With Facebook our pages get shoved into the page feed and many might not even get the chance to read our pages. Some of us use Youtube and make book trailers for them to barely get watched even if we use the right tags or hashtags to get peoples attention. It is a job in itself. Don't ever get up on it if it's your dream. For those of you who smash us you need to think about all the work and dedication we put into our books. You wouldn't want us smashing you if you have a mediocre job getting you to no where fast so think about that. Some of us do work, have kids, go to school, and do the same things you do to survive. We write because we love to do it and it's not all about the money for some of us. To get our books out there we depend upon reviews as well and not everyone will write just a few words to let everyone know what they thought of the book. That's the other way we get our books to sell. If you read a book be respectful and try to give the author some feedback.

Stop giving the negative people attention

 Stop giving the negative people of the world so much attention.  Stop making negative people so famous for negative stuff. It's disgusting that the people who are doing horrible things are being given that attention. We as people see it in people's real lives and social media. Social media is where we need to start drawing the line. If we would take that attention away and ignored the bad behavior maybe just maybe they would see that it isn't good. People have turned negative into this is a social normal. It is not a social normal. Stop feeding the negative and toxic behavior. Stop saying it's normal.  I'd like to see more of you sharing people who are trying to succeed in life, build each other up, helping one another with small business or businesses, spreading love and light, helping people who are less fortunate, listening to others, being there for people who have depression, anxiety, PTSD,and much more.  So many could be successful if everyone supports everyo

Cursed House

  It's a dark stormy night this Halloween night. The clouds  are ominous.  You can feel the energy from the storm. 5 friends and me are staying in an abandoned house deep in the Bayou of Louisiana.  I had picked the place. My friends and I love spooky things. This year we are hoping for a good scare because last year we went to a cemetary and it was just a bunch of teenagers messing with us. We get to the abandoned house before it starts storming.  There is a fireplace in the living room and we light a fire to stay warm and cozy.  "Ari what is the plan?" my boyfriend asks. "I thought we would eat and check the house out after." My friends and I make sandwiches. We eat in the living room. While we are eating we hear kids laughing.
