I think I thought my best friend was pulling my leg when he says it takes two years to fully get to know somebody but it isn't a lie. Only small things come up in the beginning and then later people show you true colors. First few months is like the honey moon like phase. I am me the whole time. If they don't like me in the beginning then I look at it as hit the road and don't waste my time.

Don't string people along if you aren't willing to commit. It isn't fair to them. You need to tell them up front this is what is what I want. If you aren't ready don't expect the person to chase after you or talk to you or have anything to do with you if they are ready to commit. Be clear on communication on what you want.

I am currently working on a poetry book and it is coming along nicely. I have about 100 poems in it so far.

When it comes to school kids make sure you have them have everything organized the night before or it is going to be one of two things that are going to happen. One your are going to get mad and yell because they won't hurry. You are causing yourself stress you can avoid. Have them have everything signed the night before. Ask them if they need anything signed. They aren't always going to tell you or remember. I don't know how many notes or things come home from school that I don't see. Have them set out clothes the night before. Pick out what they are going to eat the night before. Make this a habit. Kids need routine and you don't want to rush out the door if you are driving them or putting them on the bus. They are old enough at a young age. Give them choices. Let them pick from 2 shirts and pants. Don't give them more than 2 choices. Let them have a say.

Tell the one you are dating or married to or whatever you are doing with them good morning and good night. They like to hear it.

Don't make plans that you know you can't keep. It isn't fair to the other person to get their hopes up and think we are going to do this all week and you don't make it. If you know you can't give them a heads up before that time so they can make other plans. I know stuff comes up in the world of dating. You get sick, kids get sick, no babysitter, and long list. Don't make excuses.

Is it raining? Are the kids bored? They shouldn't be. There are plenty of things to do indoors for all age ranges. Build a pillow and blanket fort. Turn lights off and use flash lights to do finger walls stories. Read books Watch movies Play cards Play a board game Take silly pictures Nap Picnic in the floor Bake together Make finger foods together I could go on and on and on Use your imagination

Do you know the signs of bullying? Their self esteem is lower Grades start falling Feel worthless Feel alienated Why do others bully others? They see others do it. They have self esteem problems. They may have been abused. What are some things bullies do? Name calling Physical altercations Social media altercations where it can go from name calling, to downing a person, degrading, putting ugly pictures, spreading rumors, spread gossip, and much more. They blame others Get in more trouble Why don't others ask for help? They don't want to be made fun of by others. They don't want to be labeled the tattle tell. They are afraid of what someone might do to them. They feel threatened. PUT A STOP TO BULLYING!! WHO CARES WHAT OTHERS THINK. BULLIES ARE NOT FRIENDS!! DON'T LET SOMEONE GET HURT OR DIE!! DO THE RIGHT THING!!

Ever had a kid who asks where something is over and over again? Do you ever follow them around to see if they are looking? It is funny to see sometimes because sometimes they looking at the ceiling. I know you possibly think the same thing I do, "How are your shoes or clothes or toys or certain items going to be on the ceiling?!?

Don't always nag about the bad in your life. That can drive a person bat crazy hearing about all the bad all the time. Say some good stuff that is going on with you at times.

Most people have fights about money and make it stressful. Money isn't worth fighting about or blaming your partner. I know it can be stressful. Find ways to make it better together. Start a money jar and add change to it. It may help and it may not. Find out.

It was 15yrs ago today that I delivered an 11lb 9oz 21inches bundle of joy. He is an amazing young man. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON AND MANY MORE TO COME!! I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH. MAY YOU HAVE THE BEST BIRTHDAY TODAY!!

Hey parents out there. Yeah I am talking to you parents. Do you monitor what your child is doing or sees online? If they make fun of others do you make them apologize? Online and in person bullying is out of control these days. Watch what your child say. Watch what some of the friends they have online or in person says. I have had to have my own boys delete friends or people they knew because of others bullying or cussing. Cussing does not make you look or sound smart. It isn't okay to tear people down just to do it. Just because we don't like people doesn't mean that we have to be horrible people. Be kind. People need it. Help promote positivity and stop being bullies. Parents listen to your kids. Set a good example. If you see or hear it talk to your child. Educate them.

When it comes to kids they are what make the world go around. They are special. Make them feel special. Your child is going to make good and bad decisions. Stand by them through the good and bad. That doesn't make them a bad person. You have made bad decisions of your own. Just talk to them and guide them.

It is better to have good friends who stick by you than many fake people who pretend.

Not everything you have to do together has to cost an arm and a leg to have fun. 1) Movie night and popcorn and $1 candy at home. 2) Picnic at park, in backyard, in living room 3)Go fishing 4)Go for walks 5)Watch sunset or sunrise 6)play cards 7)play a game 8) swimming 9) dance 10)make stuff up to do together

I think that in this day and age that we need to work more on anti bullying because it is becoming way out of control. When it comes to school, work, social media. IT is everywhere. It is horrible. It needs to be better educated. It needs to be more talked about. People need to learn to be kind and not HATE!! The world is a negative place without needing help of people to make it worse. We are our own worst enemies. BUILD PEOPLE UP. STOP TEARING THEM DOWN.

Some of you parents need to stop being the friend and start being the parent. You are letting your kids get a way with to much. You let them dress inappropriate, talk how they want, play whatever video game, watch whatever movie, watch whatever TV show, interrupt, and much more. Set boundaries. Your kid doesn't need to watch whatever and play just whatever. Do you even check their social media? Do you monitor them? Do you know who their friends are? Do you know the parents?  Back to setting boundaries. You need to also set limits.  I am not saying do not let them express them selves. Let them be individuals. Let them have choices when it comes to their clothes but sometimes make it more reasonable. I see some that their clothes are hanging off their butt or so short that everybody can see. People need to learn to respect each other but you also need to teach your child some respect. Teach them manners of how to say please, thank you, yes ma'am, no ma'am, yes sir, no si

Be silly with friends. Do stupid stuff. Talk. Be funny. Be yourself. Show them the real you. Don't be fake.

Relationships take time to build. They don't just happen over night. It is talking and getting to know each other. You aren't going to know each other over night. You can tell each other a lot and still not know what is fully going on with that person. Don't be quick to judge a persons story. If they are open enough to be honest with you respect them for that. You can't rush. It doesn't work out when rushed. I had to learn the hard way over and over again.

Tell your child every day that you love them. Give them hugs and kisses. They need to hear you tell them that you love them. They are your kids. Treat them as kids. Love on them. They can NOT read your mind. They do NOT know. They NEED to HEAR you say I LOVE YOU!! IT IS IMPORTANT. Sometimes they need to hear it more than you think because they don't feel loved enough. They don't feel like they are loved. GIVE THEM LOVE AND ATTENTION. THEY DESERVE IT!!

When you have a problem with a friend tell them. Don't post it for the world to see on social media to see. That is embarrassing. How do you feel when others do that to you? Do you like it? Probably not. Have some common courtesy.

Your relationship is yours and your partners business not the whole worlds business. When you make it the whole worlds business it makes it even rougher. They don't know the whole story. They only see one side. Have some respect for yourselves.

Remember to be silly with your kids. Remember not everything has to always be serious. Make funny faces, make up funny stories. Don't forget to laugh. Take them silly goofy pictures. Be happy as a family together.

Say hi to them every now and then. If you get online every day to post on social media you can send them a text which takes a few seconds to say hi.

When your partner is going through a rough time you need to talk to them to see what is possibly going on with them. Be supportive. It might be hard for them to talk to you. Don't judge the situation. It might be bad. If they talk to you about it don't blow up at them. If you feel like you can't talk calm and rational both of you have a time out until whoever needs to calm down is calm to talk about what is going on. Nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes. Think about that.

Quality time is more important than quantity time you get with your child. When you spend quality time with your child turn off your phone. YES TURN OFF YOUR PHONE!! Watch a movie with your child, play a game, color, take them to the park, go on a walk, camp, just talk to them about their day, read to them, listen to music with them, have a picnic, take them bowling, and much more. Eat dinner with you child with PHONE OFF. Sometimes we don't realize we spend more time on social media or on the phone until our kids bring it to our attention. Teach them something. Show them how to help you do dishes, laundry, sweeping. Teach them how to cook or bake.  Make cookies together, cakes, or other food. Let them help put the ingredients in so they feel like they are useful and helping. Ask them how their day is going. Ask them about their friends. Ask them what they want to do or what they like. Ask what is bothering them. Stay on top of these things. They grow up and you blink. You don

Be kind to your friends. Some of them struggle and you don't see it.

Tell the truth all the time because it is better to be honest than lie about it. They will always find out about that lie and don't think they won't find out because they will find out. Don't hide stuff from your significant other. They will find out sooner or later. You can always work with the truth. They might be mad at you in the beginning but they will be happy you came to them rather than telling someone else. We know you told someone down the line. How would you feel if they told someone else rather than you before they told you? You wouldn't like it one bit.

When a child is acting out in public don't yell and make a scene in front of everyone. It isn't just embarrassing for the child but it makes you look like the bad guy. I am not saying not get on to your child. Take them to the bathroom or walk them to the car. Talk to your child. Yelling accomplishes nothing. I know from experience that it doesn't do any good. It might scare them but it makes them want to yell back. What does that accomplish? Nothing. It is a power struggle.  Sit in the car with the kid for five minutes. If you got them a treat put it back. Do not get them a treat after they act like that. Do not say I will buy you this when they threw a temper tantrum. That shows them they can do this every time. STOP NOW. If it isn't that it is the pouty face. I perfected that thing long ago and it works so well. When I had kids they tried and I laugh because the pouty face doesn't work. When they make them faces laugh it off. If you need to count to ten do it. Ta

Don't judge your friends on what they have or what they do. You have skeletons in your closet. You wouldn't want them falling out would you. Be supportive of your friends and their decisions. Sometimes we make bad decisions. If they keep making bad decisions that you can't agree with then you might want to cut yourself out of that persons life. You don't need negative and toxic people in your life.

Tell your partner you love them every chance you get. It might be the last time you get to tell them. Have you ever thought about that? Most of us think we can tell someone something tomorrow. Tomorrow isn't here yet. Tell them today. Show them that you love them. Actions speak volume people. No one wants to hear empty words or promises.
