Poem about judging

You judge what you don't know
You don't see past the surface
Do you know their struggle
Do you know their story
You judge what you don't know
An unwed mother
Someone who's dress in  rags
Someone who has an addiction
Someone who's overweight
Someone who's skinny
They're not you and you're not them
We are different yet we are the same
We all judge
We all gossip
Do not say you don't
We all do it
We all sin
We all have a heart
We all bleed
We are born
We die
It is what is inside that counts
Do you know what happens when you
judge others
We are our own worst enemies
We are ourselves tear ourselves down
We lose track of the big picture
Live and learn
Love now
Did you ever think that woman felt unloved
Did you ever think that person used to be rich and lost
it all
Did you ever think that they might have an eating disorder
Did you ever think that is how they cope
We all cope different
We all feel different
Forgive now
Love now
Did you think that they did those drugs or alcohol
to numb the pain
What you say and what you do can hurt others
Did you ever think they might have been abused
Did you ever think they hate themselves
Do you think
You're not the judge and jury
We all do it
Don't say you don't ever
I've heard that line before
Words cut like a knife
Some lives are cut short
We all have scars inside
We all have problems
Did you ever think before you spoke
Did your ever think they might have lost their mom,
dad, brother, sister, daughter, son, grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles,
or friends
Did you ever think that when that soldier came back from
war that they can unsee what they've seen
Did you ever think that soldier might not ever come back
Did you ever think
We are our own worst enemies without needing help
Think before you judge
