Turn the phone off

Sometimes you need to turn your phone off when spending time with family and friends. They might think you are neglecting them. Turn it off to watch a movie or play a game with them. It is rude to be looking at your phone when someone is trying to talk to you. When your kids are trying to get your attention set your phone down and don't answer that text, call, or any other social media. They won't always be kids forever. Go outside with them. Play a game or watch a movie with your kids. Do something interactive. When it comes to family and friends who just call or text ask them to come see you and make plans with them. For those who you meet for the first time or your on a date with or just going to hang out with put your phone away and don't text and call the whole time your there that is a major turn off and might make it to where they might not want to see you again.
As people we need to learn to turn off our phones and talk face to face to spend time together as family, friends, and community.
