The Vampire Masquerade

 

 

 

On this Halloween some friends and I plan on going to a masquerade Vampire Ball in Louisiana. We do different things every Halloween. Each of us love Halloween, so we have parties or do things pertaining the paranormal. Last year we voted on the Vampire Ball so we could save the money to go. We go to college, so we stay broke most of the time. It is only a week before Halloween. We go to the local shops to get what we need for our vacation which is only about one state over. 

I'm trying to figure out what kind of mask I want to wear at this costume shop.

"Have you even picked out a dress yet?" Koty asks me. I look over at my boyfriend and just shake my head. "Alexandria," he says with a sigh.

"What?" I ask him.

"Let's go find you a dress."

The thought of dress shopping filled him with dread. He didn't feel too bad because he had two guy friends who had to go dress shopping with their girlfriends also. Us girls knew the guys hadn't picked out their clothes either, so it turned into a shopping spree for our costumes.

I end up choosing a sapphire renaissance dress with black lace up boots. Koty chooses a black tuxedo with a sapphire blue vest and dress shoes. We chose our masks together. My mask was silver and lacy with sapphire beads and as for his it was a standard silver masquerade mask for men. My friend Anna chose a black flapper dress with a red boa and black heels. Her boyfriend Adam chose a black and white pin stripe suit and a mobster hat with dress shoes. She went with a black lacy masquerade mask and her boyfriends was just a black masquerade mask. Our friend Candy chose a short white dress with angel wings and white boots that lace up. Sam chose a white suit to match his girlfriend Her mask was gold that covered around her eyes and had angel wings around them and his was a standard gold theater looking mask. Once we were all done shopping, we went back to the dorm to start packing since we were leaving in a few days.
